Synopsis:

In a small province not far from Bangkok, Yong's life seems casual and typical of an old man, but he bears the mark of a Thai war veteran, as evidenced by the scar from the amputation of his right index finger. Yong spends every day dreaming of building a tree house with his own hands and raising an intelligent niece abandoned by her parents. He has a black Thai dog named Rambo who has strange eyes that can see the secrets of the afterlife.

About the Director:

Sivaroj Kongsakul

Sivaroj Kongsakul (Thailand) began his career as an assistant director for Pen-ek Raranaruang, Wisit Sasanatieng and Aditya Assarat on many of their short films, television commercials and music videos. He has directed the short films Always (2006) and Silencio (2007). In 2011 he made his feature debut with Eternity, winner of the Tiger Award at Rotterdam Festival, amongst other accolades. He directed an episode of the anthology film Distance in 2015. Regretfully at Dawn is his second feature film.
